I’m posting this with a piece of software i’ve written over the past few days called BloggerBot. It’s an AOL Instant Messenger to Blogger gateway. It’s written in Perl and uses XML-RPC to communicate with the Blogger server. Once set up, you literally send a message to the bot and your post is published. If you use Blogger, you should check it out.

My birthday came and went, and now i’m 23. I got some pretty cool stuff, and Emily and I ate at a fabulous Persian restaurant in West LA, and caught the new John Cusack movie. Twas a good day.
We left upstate New York in the middle of the summer, and the transition from NY->CA wasn’t very drastic. The weather was just about the same, in fact it was often cooler at night in Los Angeles than it was in Ithaca. Well, it’s been a month and a half or so, and it’s weird because i’m starting to feel like the seasons should be changing, but the leaves are still green and the weather is sunny and warm. Fall is by far my favorite season, and I’m a little sad that there isn’t going to be one. The lack of an intense winter will be nice, no doubt, but right now i’m nostalgic for the changing of the leaves and the crisp, cool autumn breezes.
I’m hooked on Alias. Secret agents, counter-espionage, lots of cool gadgets..what else could you want from a television show?
