It crossed my mind that you might consider that a possibility…

today emily and i went

today emily and i went for a walk through robert treman state park. it ended up being a pleasant 4 mile walk. you can see the pictures we took here. we had a lot of fun, and then went to the the glenwood pines for burgers and fries. it was definitely an afternoon well spent.

i’ve been using filepile.org a lot recently. it’s a really cool idea…i do think it might be cooler if it were more specific (say, an indie-rock mp3 filepile, or a television episode mpg filepile). however, as is, it’s fun to pick through what other people deemed ‘upload worthy’.

So today was slope day.

So today was slope day. This morning I went with Emily and a group of people from her job to the Cornell plantations for a pre-slope day champagne breakfast.

It was a beautiful day, I had to write a paper, so we went to a computer lab, and wrote my quick 2 page paper on Wide Sargasso Sea. All the main entrances to the libraries were cut off, since they’re rather large, and they didn’t want lots of students with beverages going in and out, making a mess of the libraries. In order to go into the library, we had to go into Stimson (a biology building) and from there, there was a normally locked set of stairs that lead into the library-dungeons underneath Olin Library. We had to work our way up into Olin, and then at the other end of the building, back down underground, through the seedy underbelly of the library:

and finally back up into Uris Library. It was quite an adventure.

Afterward, we made it to the slope:

It was pretty crazy, and we didn’t stay all that long, but as is the case every year, it’s a pretty amazing sight. If you’d like to peruse more pictures from the event, they’re available here.
