This is a little open source clone of any of a number of url shortening services like tinyurl.com. it’s a drop in php script that for maximum tinyness requires a couple lines of addition to your httpd.conf to utilize mod_rewrite. It doesn’t require a database, and you can try it out at http://url.fibiger.org/. You can also download the source here.
This is a AIM bot that acts as a publishing gateway to to the weblog publishing service blogger. It communicates with the blogger servers via XML-RPC. It allows users to post to multiple weblogs quickly and effortlessly.
a comics page generator. it pulled comics from dozens of sources and created a single page. it made one of the big comics sites mad, and they changed their webpage format to break my program. i haven’t yet fixed it.
this is a bot that connects to napster and sends IMs to everyone sharing a particular song. written originally to help out the band orbit, it brought a couple thousand visitors to their website to download free mp3s.
I wrote this little util in about 20 minutes one day, because I was sick of all my mp3s having inconsistent id3 tags. It just removes id3v1 and v2 tags from an mp3.
some friends of mine wrote a irc bot in perl. i wrote a quick hack to search through all channels’ log files. i think it’s included in the perlbot distribution.
