Pancake Mountain is a Washington DC based kid’s show that is coming soon, or has just come out, filled with indie/punk legends. The theme song was written by Brendan Canty of Fugazi and Kathy Wilcox of Bikini Kill. Bob Mould (Husker Du, Sugar) plays a TV executive during the 11 minute clip that’s available online and Ian Mackaye (Minor Threat, Fugazi) leads us on a sing-song about vowels. There’s a music video clip from the show available of Vic Chesnutt singing “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad.”
If only kids shows were this cool when I was a kid.

HeLLO THIS TIME is so very interesting i have seen my share of punk shows and FUGAZI, last in the 40watt back in 99, i said some thing to Ian About a new grass roots mvt, well looks like he got on board as i believe he has always been, especially at that show in the masqurade in atl back in fall of 89 when a crazed fan sort of lost his mind and busted the bassist in the mouth some flying obj. the band pulled a melancholy whila Ian preached to the pit about how seriousley uncool this act was and the finally got cranked up after the bleeding stoped. sincerly thanks jcalhoun.
