Now that I’ve admitted that I’m all jaded when it comes to music, Andy pointed me to a thread where a group of people on CMJ.com collected a list of the top 1000 indie rock songs of all time. Page 31 is where it all ends, someone took all the posts and compiled a list. I’ve got a copy of the list here if you don’t want to paw through the thread. I don’t necessarily agree with the ordering (although it seems the ordering was pretty random), but the songs on the list are impressive. It makes me wish I had a 100 disc changer. I’d burn the 50 or so CDs this list would require, and hit shuffle.
