I spent last weekend out in Palm Desert with my cousins Jamie and Randy (Randy was interviewing for a job with House of Blues corporate in Los Angeles). They rented Harleys and I rode on Jamie’s CBR600F3. We spent the day sunday riding on scenic, twisty Highway 74 and rode from Palm Desert up into the mountains and down into the valley at Temecula. We stopped for lunch and an extended stay at the Cilurzo Vineyards and then headed back to Palm Desert. The ride was an absolute blast, and I was totally re-bitten by the motorcycling bug. I was a little worried about going from riding a tiny Honda Rebel 250 to a SuperSport 600, but the bike was light, the inputs were really smooth and easy to control. The bike was very fast, but only when I wanted it to be, and it was absolutely controllable.
