well, we’re back from the apartment hunting trip to LA, and i’m finally beginning to recover from all the flying, driving, and getting up early. after a day and a half of looking at pretty dingy 2 bedroom apartments in more industrial parts of town, emily got the bright idea to check out apartments.com again. good thing we did. we found a wonderful 1 bedroom + den in the palms area of los angeles. the street is quiet and tree lined, but only a few blocks from a big supermarket, and according to yahoo maps, has 69 restaurants within a 1 mile radius.

the trip itself was fun, we stayed in santa monica, and managed to get out to palm desert to visit my cousin jamie and his girlfriend ana. i took some pictures on the trip, some of which turned out pretty well. our move-in date is august 18th, i hope that once we’re in LA, people will come to visit. maybe we’ll even get one of those fancy air beds for the den.
