the trip to the british virgin islands was an absolute blast. we had some boat trouble toward the end of the trip, but the sailing was wonderful, and the islands were spectacular. i saw more species of fish in one snorkeling trip around a reef than i’d seen in my entire life. i took a ton of pictures, some of which are already online here.

iI’m about 3/4 of the way through john irving’s a son of the circus. while i don’t think that it’s quite as good a novel as the world according to garp, but it’s still one of the most enjoyable books i’ve read in the past six months.
