well, here it is, 5am on the day of the trip. i decided it was worth losing 15 minutes off an already short sleep so that i wouldn’t have to listen to the alarm. after being totally confident that at least one pair of sunglasses of mine was here in delmar, it looks as though both pairs are back at school. i guess i’ll have to pick up a pair en route.

i’m bringing my notebook as well my digital camera and battery charger, which gives me the ability to take more or less infinite pictures, so hopefully i’ll be able to document this trip pretty well. 8 days without being able to check email, read news..it shouldn’t be that tough, but i know that i’m going to come back to a mountain of mail.
