It crossed my mind that you might consider that a possibility…

So today was slope day.

So today was slope day. This morning I went with Emily and a group of people from her job to the Cornell plantations for a pre-slope day champagne breakfast.

It was a beautiful day, I had to write a paper, so we went to a computer lab, and wrote my quick 2 page paper on Wide Sargasso Sea. All the main entrances to the libraries were cut off, since they’re rather large, and they didn’t want lots of students with beverages going in and out, making a mess of the libraries. In order to go into the library, we had to go into Stimson (a biology building) and from there, there was a normally locked set of stairs that lead into the library-dungeons underneath Olin Library. We had to work our way up into Olin, and then at the other end of the building, back down underground, through the seedy underbelly of the library:

and finally back up into Uris Library. It was quite an adventure.

Afterward, we made it to the slope:

It was pretty crazy, and we didn’t stay all that long, but as is the case every year, it’s a pretty amazing sight. If you’d like to peruse more pictures from the event, they’re available here.
